It All Began with a Great Workout...For many years, screenwriter, mom, and Mount Baker resident, Mary Elder, made a habit of getting her exercise outdoors. She loved having friends join her; and she loved using hills, rocks, sand, trees and other elements in challenging interval workouts. The combination of fresh air and good friends never failed to put a huge smile on Mary's face!
Mary's workout had hybrid elements of boot camp and Crossfit, without the yelling, camo, competition or price tag. It was fun and effective. Fitness and happiness in one organic place? It made loads of sense. And then one day Mary landed on a name: Free Range Fitness. Free because finally fitness didn't have to cost so much money. Free Range because fitness didn't mean being cooped up in a gym or class. And fitness with a new twist: energized, optimistic, beaming, connected, glowing, grateful and natural fitness. Mary was excited. Free Range Fitness could make a real difference to people of all ages, at all fitness levels. After registering the trademark, and buying a url, the brand (and a revolution!) was born. Learn More about Free Range Fitness in the August 2012 issue of Seattle Met Magaine!
